TEST TAKING STRATEGIES

1.  Read all directions carefully to make sure you know what
    you are supposed do.

2.  Take a quick look at the questions before you read a story
    or article so you know what to look for in the text.

3.  Look for key words (such as who, what, when, where, or why)        
   to help you decide how to answer the question.                            

4.  After reading, look back at the text to find the information you need.

5.  Think first, jot down notes, then write.

6.  Write clearly and legibly.                                        

7.  Manage your time.

8.  Check your work.
