Financial Report

The beginning balance was $4,462.
One check for $229 written to Lightspeed Technologies for the cordless
microphone requested by Ms. Sparrow in January. Ending balance is $4233.
III.
Minutes from the February meeting
· a microphone was bought
· Mrs. Crimmins is checking into returning the air conditioners or selling them.
· We are waiting to hear about the extra cookie dough money from Stacey.
IV. Election of new officers

V. Playground Equipment
What can we afford? We can use $3000 from the PTA funds and $1000 from the incentive money that Jefferson received.
Two items to be ordered:
· An overhead dipped glider $2,692
· A Camel Back Climber (Double) $1,335
Ordering these two items will leave over $1000 in the account.
Questions to be answered concerning the playground equipment:
· Do we need to prep the area?
· Cost of shipping/handling?
· Do we need D-11 approval?
· Installing the equipment?
Ms. Hertzgaard will contact Volunteer Services at the Air Force Academy about installing the equipment.
Carnival
Having a outdoor BBQ instead of the Carnival was discussed. Everyone thought it sounded like a great idea. With so little help, a BBQ would be easier to do. The PTA will supply hotdogs and the people attending can bring dishes to share. Ms. Sparrow will investigate getting a dunk tank. We can charge for trying to dunk a teacher and probably make up the money spent on the BBQ.
Laura Montoya asked about the Multi-cultural show. One was done last year and she was wondering if there would be one this year. We need to find out more information about last year's activity.
