Jackson Mission Statement

In partnership with parents and community, we seek to ensure academic excellence by providing:
bulletquality instruction in a caring environment that is safe and conducive to learning;
bulleta balanced and challenging curriculum;
bulletongoing assessment to guide instruction; and,
bullettraining in life skills that emphasize self-discipline, respect for others, and respect for the world we live in.

School Improvement Plan Goals
2005-2006 

Student Achievement - Reading

   By the end of the 2005-2006 school year, 12+ month students in grades 3-5 will improve Standard 6 reading scores (story elements) by a minimum of 7 percentage points according to the CSAP utilizing the Open Court Reading program.

Student Achievement - Writing

      By the end of the 2005-2006 school year, 12+ month students in grades 3-5 will improve Standard 2 (paragraph writing) by a minimum of 7 percentage points according to the CSAP utilizing the Open Court, Six Traits Writing program, and Shurley English program.

Student Achievement- Math

    By the end of the 2005-2006 school year, 12+ month students in grades 3-5 will improve Standard 6 math scores (computation) by a minimum of 7 percentage points according to the CSAP by using the EveryDay Math (EDM) program.
