All students
will be proficient at their grade level or above in reading, writing, and
math as measured in the spring by individual reading, writing, and math
inventories, Quarterly Assessments, Terra Novas, Adams 50, DIBELS and CSAP scores.
- All parents will support their child’s academic achievement throughout
the year by making a commitment to:
- Participate in an after school or evening activity at least once a
month.
- Read with their child at least 15 minutes a day.
- Practice math facts at least 10 minutes a day.
- Write with their child at least once a week.
- Join PTA, BAAC, the Building Accountability and Advisory Committee, or
volunteer to be a tutor, club sponsor, or room mother / dad.
- Attend their child’s fall and spring conferences.
- Communicate with their child’s teacher regularly.
- Tell their child that they love them and give them a hug before they
leave for school each day and when they return home.
- Ivywild will support community involvement by hosting community
gatherings, adult and family classes, open library nights, community computer
nights, classes determined by community needs, and by inviting the community
to become involved in the school, as documented by letters, memos, class
offerings, and attendance rosters
