Dear Students, Parents, and Families,
Welcome to Irving to those of you who are new, and welcome back to all returning
students, parents, and families. The staff at Irving Middle School has
been working diligently throughout the summer to prepare for your arrival as we
continue our journey through the middle years.
Middle school truly is a time of great change for both students and families.
Our goal is to provide the support you need as you make your transitions so that
we can help all students become academic achievers, independent learners, and
responsible citizens.
There have been a lot of changes at Irving this year. There are many new staff
members; some work has been done to the building, and teachers have been taking
a lot of training in order to prepare for an exciting new year. We invite you to
join us for Orientation and for Open House so that we can share these changes
with you, our community.
We, not only welcome you on these days, but every day. Irving needs the
support of our entire community to create success for our students. When we work
together, the students win.
We want to celebrate the successes that both our students and our teachers
achieved with our CSAP scores. Students scores went up significantly in seven of
the ten categories. This speaks to the hard work of both the students and the
teachers this past year. We're on the right track academically and plan to build
upon that momentum.

There exists both promise and possibility in a new year. We are honored and
humbled that you have entrusted your children to us. We look forward to working
together with you to explore the possibilities!
