PHYSICAL EDUCATION SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL CURRICULUM
The graduation requirement for Physical Education is three semestercredits, inclusive grades 9-12.

REQUIREMENTS

3. Individual/Dual Sports
4. Team Sport

Schools have flexible scheduling options to meet the required units for physical education. Contact your physical education department for the specific schedule in your building. Some physical education departments will be able to offer additional activities that are supported by state physical education content standards. Physical education classes will start with a minimum of five minutes of vigorous conditioning exercises and/or some form of cardio-respiratory endurance training.

Note: The key concepts are the overload principle, target heart rate zone, and aerobic capacity.
