 Algebra 2 Honors
Prerequisite: Student must have passed 9th grade math with 3.5 average.
Course Description:  This honors course builds on the mathematics topics with vocabulary, skills and applications to real-life and mathematical situations where students develop critical thinking skills and problem solving techniques. This course is designed for those students who have a strong preparation for algebra. Its advanced pacing is intended for students who want to follow the honors curriculum in mathematics. It is also aligned to the latest recommendations of the National Teachers of Mathematics, the Colorado State Mathematics Standards and Frameworks, and the Colorado Alignment Guide. Calculator technology is an integral part of this course. A scientific calculator is required and/or a graphing calculator is highly recommended. (9/04, 12/06)
