Course Description:  Pre-AP World Studies Western Hemisphere 6 is the formal study of the historical, physical and cultural environments of the peoples of Canada, Mexico, Central America and South America. Class assignments and activities build on and expand concepts, content and skills through a student inquiry based approach. Themes are selected to allow students to engage critical thinking skills to compare and contrast the past with the present. Students are provided with additional opportunities for extension and application through independent projects. (09-06)
