What Makes Helen Hunt Special?

Reading - A leveled reading series that assures success for students who are 

approaching grade level, are on grade level and those who are beyond grade level.

"Everyday Mathematics" program featuring 60-minute math blocks with

hands-on activities and applications for students to see the relevance of math as it

applies to daily life.

A school-wide positive behavioral system (PBS) that teaches students what 

behavior is expected in each area of the school and includes positive praise and rewards. 

We are Safe, Respectful, and Responsible.

Balanced writing - a writing program that provides direct, guided, modeled, and

shared instruction.

We are moving toward all decisions being mission/data - based with goals and

 action plans using the CQI criteria (Continuous Quality Improvement)  for education.
