District 11 Opportunities

District 11 now offers an Online School for grades K-8. The ACHIEVEk12 program is a complete online curriculum with classes in mathematics, reading and writing, social studies, science, PE/nutrition, Spanish, art, and music. Hands-on enrichment classes in science, music, and art are included. All books, lesson plans, and most materials are free of charge. For more information, or to register, contact the Home School Liaison office at 520-2216.

 

District 11 Community Education classes are open to all. Topics for school age children vary and may include art, animation, babysitting, cartooning, summer foods, writing skills, creative drama, detectives and spies, drawing basics, French, German, reading basics, mental math, sculpture, Spanish, tennis and yoga. Adult classes include computer, world languages, refresher courses,health and wellness, gardening, floral arranging and dance.
Opportunities for the arts have expanded to music, ceramics, papermaking, printmaking, watercolor and hand tinting of photos. The instructors are chosen for their experience and talent. Call 520-2384 for the latest class listings.
