Holmes MS incorporates a school-wide system of support that includes proactive strategies for defining, teaching, and supporting appropriate student behaviors to create a positive school environment. The system in known as PBS (Positive Behavior Support). We use the acronym SOAR, which stands for Safety, Ownership, Achievement, and Respect. Students displaying these behaviors around campus and in the classrooms receive positive verbal recognition and a SOAR card. Students can exchange their SOAR cards for quarterly incentives and weekly rewards from the Hawk Shop.
FamilyGrams

This year, parent support SOAR cards (called FamilyGrams) will be available to buy for 50 cents in the counseling office. This is an opportunity to positively support your student with words of encouragement. A pen or pencil will be attached to the card and delivered to the student during the day. All proceeds will go to the PBS fund in order to purchase more incentives for students
