Club |
Students are involved in the feeding and care of
a "menagerie" of animals. Activities occur before school and during 8th
grade lunch. |

Advancement Via Individual Detemination: The
focus is to teach skills needed for students to be successful in college
Prep courses and college course work. |

Books |
Students read from a selected book list and
compete in the District 11 contest in the spring. |
| Geography Bee |
Students meet after/before school to prepare for
Geographic Bee competition. |

Globe |
Students gather data of the daily weather,
weekly water quality of Mesa Creek, twice-yearly analyses of vegetative land
cover in Sondermann Park and seasonal occurrences such as "budhurst" of
local elms and lilacs. |
| Math Counts |
Open to all students who are interested in
mathematical challenges. Meets before/after school to prepare for regional,
state and national level math competitions. |

National History Day |
Students produce papers, projects, drama or
media presentations for competition. |

Junior Honor Society |
This is a group of students with a grade point
average of 3.6 and above and an average citizenship grade of 4 or above.
Students must show dedication to service, leadership, academics, involvement
and citizenship. |

Nationally acclaimed field science experience
that offers students a one-day a week hands on approach to the study of
environmental science. |

regional and state level with other Colorado middle and high school
