The Grant Elementary School staff is dedicated to educating students to communicate effectively, gather and use information, make responsible decisions and adapt to the challenges of the future. Our
Academic rating of High and Stable is the same as last year’s. We have shown
an increase from 71.49% proficient and advanced, to 75.53% proficient and
advanced. In addition to working hard on providing high quality instruction
everyday, we will continue to implement aligned, standard based curriculum in
reading, writing, math, social studies, and science. Our imbedded tutorial
program is in place, and summer school is available for students with academic
needs. Goals In
order to increase our performance in the future, we have a School Improvement
Plan in place, and we have set the following goals: ·
Grant Elementary
will increase performance on the Writing CSAP from 67% (2006 data) by 7% to 74%. ·
By the end of the
2006 – 2007 school year, students in grades 3 – 5 will improve their CSAP
scores from an average of 84.6% (P and A) to 92.6% (P and A). ·
Grant Elementary
students will demonstrate at least a 7% growth in the Math CSAP composite
scores, moving from 83% to 90% (P and A) for grades 3-5. ·
We will meet the
attendance goal of 95% while continuing to monitor before and after school
supervision, as measured by daily attendance, out calling system, letters, etc. You are
