Grant School Report Card

The Grant Elementary School staff is dedicated to educating students to communicate effectively, gather and use information, make responsible decisions and adapt to the challenges of the future.

Our Academic rating of High and Stable is the same as last year’s. We have shown an increase from 71.49% proficient and advanced, to 75.53% proficient and advanced. In addition to working hard on providing high quality instruction everyday, we will continue to implement aligned, standard based curriculum in reading, writing, math, social studies, and science. Our imbedded tutorial program is in place, and summer school is available for students with academic needs.

Goals

In order to increase our performance in the future, we have a School Improvement Plan in place, and we have set the following goals:

·     Grant Elementary will increase performance on the Writing CSAP from 67% (2006 data) by 7% to 74%.

·     By the end of the 2006 – 2007 school year, students in grades 3 – 5 will improve their CSAP scores from an average of 84.6% (P and A) to 92.6% (P and A).

·     Grant Elementary students will demonstrate at least a 7% growth in the Math CSAP composite scores, moving from 83% to 90% (P and A) for grades 3-5.

·     We will meet the attendance goal of 95% while continuing to monitor before and after school supervision, as measured by daily attendance, out calling system, letters, etc.

You are welcome to read our School Improvement Plan any time. Please call 328-5700 if you have questions or would like to view our School Improvement Plan.
