Grant Media Center
Mission Statement
To
inspire a passion for knowledge and a love of reading, to teach students to
become skilled users of information tools, to develop life-long learners, and to
integrate technology into the school curriculum through collaboration.
In Addition:
At Grant Elementary School we use a flexible scheduling in our media center. This
allows students to exchange books they have finished reading for another as
soon as needed without waiting to "go to the library" with their
class. Many students visit the library daily to exchange books or to just read
in a quiet place.
Taking Care of our
Books
1. Clean your hands before you read!
2. Turn the pages from the corner.
3. Use a bookmark to hold your place.
4. Keep books away from anything wet!
5. Have a safe place to keep books at home.
