Grant School Report Card

U. S. Grant Elementary School is named for the 18th President of the United States of America, Ulysses S. Grant.  Click on Mr. Grant's picture to learn more about him.

Grant Elementary opened its doors in September, 1966.  It was the first school north of the old Templeton Gap Road (now Austin Bluffs Parkway). Our school day begins at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 3:10 p.m.  During the day each grade level has a 45 minute lunch/recess period with a hot lunch program available.

Grant presently has an enrollment of 495 students with twenty classroom teachers and twelve resource teachers.

Click here for descriptions of some of the academic programs in use at Grant.  Additional educational programs currently available are English As a Second Language, Gifted and Talented, and Educational Support Services.

We have a dedicated Art teacher and program, enabling every student to experience and create an Art project weekly.  Artwork is continuously displayed throughout the school.  Our program has been recognized at the State and County level every year since its inception in 1996.

We welcome you to visit our school and observe the exciting educational programs in operation!
