The higher level
classes at Sabin Middle School prepared me for the International
Baccalaureate program at Palmer. The IB program, in turn, helped me
prepare for the regimented life of a Midshipman at the U.S. Merchant
Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY. There, I received a BS in
Maritime Operations and Technology, specializing in International
Business and Logistics with a minor in Engineering Systems. After
graduating from
the USMMA, I continued to excel and learn from my
experiences by receiving a commission in the U.S. Navy. I am now
a LTjg in the Navy and have participated in Operation CAPER FOCUS in
the Eastern Pacific, capturing over eight tons of Colombian cocaine in six
months. As my career continues to unfold, I now find myself as the assistant
operations officer for a command that has over 3500 Marines, 1200 sailors
and six ships sailing around the world protecting this mighty nation. |
