We learned the numbers 1-10 and teamed up with Music class to learn the Itsy Bitsy Spider in Spanish.  I’ve included the lyrics so you can sing at home too.  Next we learned some family vocabulary and in October we will be learning colors.

  • uno – one
  • dos – two
  • tres – three
  • cuatro – four
  • cinco – five
  • seis – six
  • siete – seven
  • ocho – eight
  • nueve – nine
  • diez - ten

First & Second Graders

Along with learning the numbers, we started to some learn calendar vocabulary by saying the date and weather in Spanish each class.   We are learning to say numbers in complete sentences.  In October we will continue learning calendar vocabulary and start to learn the alphabet and colors. Here’s a great website to practice the alphabet:

Third – Fifth Graders

The third, forth and fifth graders are soaring in Spanish class.  We have started to read and write in Spanish! In October we will be learning colors, school vocabulary and prepositions.  Here’s a website to practice colors:
