Courtney Steel is one of two special education teachers at Freedom Elementary.  This is her eighth year of teaching; her second year in District 11.  As part of the Freedom community, Mrs. Steel serves as a representative on the school’s Positive Behavior Support team.  She is a native of Colorado Springs and attended elementary, junior high and high school in District 11 schools.  Mrs. Steel is married and has a two year old little girl.  Something to think about: “If, in instructing a child, you are vexed with it for want of adroitness, try, if you have never tried before, to write with your left hand, and then remember that a child is all left hand,” by J.F.
