Bio:
My
name is Sarah Marr and I am the School Psychologist and Special
Education Staffing Coordinator at Freedom Elementary. I grew up in
southeast Virginia and received my BA in Psychology and Recreation
Administration at the University of North Carolina. After moving to
Florida, I obtained my Education Specialist degree (Ed.S.) in School
Psychology at U. of Florida at Tampa. My passions in life are family,
sports, and work. I have two children, a recent graduate of D11 and the
other currently attending a D11 high school. During school vacations we
pack our bags and head across the country to be with extended family.
In my spare time I love to play tennis and soccer. I had the privilege
to play soccer for U. of North Carolina for the world’s strongest soccer
program (over 15 national championships). Of course, the first of these
national championships was after they got rid of me! Still kicking, I
now play for a team appropriately called the “Geezers”! I have worked
as a school psychologist for 20 years with School District #11 and love
my profession. Freedom falcons SOAR and I am proud to be part of this
learning community.

Bio:
19 hour journey + 1200 miles + being
away from my family in Kentucky = 1 year school psychologist internship
at Freedom Elementary.
Hello to everyone reading
this page, my name is Amber Wilson, and I attended Northern Kentucky
University where I received a bachelor’s degree in psychology. The next
chapter of my life brought me to Middle Tennessee State University where
I just graduated this August with my master’s degree in school
psychology. My one year internship in District 11 will complete my
requirements set by my university to receive my education specialist
degree and to become a nationally certified school psychologist. I am
excited and ready to work under Sarah Marr’s (school psychologist)
direction and supervision at Freedom Elementary. Thank you D11 and
Freedom for making my long journey worthwhile in allowing me to have
this educational experience in beautiful Colorado Springs!
