Bio: Bev Foster
Foster and Fifth grade just
seem to go together, and I love 5th grade! My name is Bev
Foster and I have had the pleasure of teaching 5th grade here
at Freedom from the first day we opened! What a great place to be. I
have been teaching in D-11 for 5 years , and have moved around the
country following my Air Force/Army/Navy husband for a long time and
teaching in a variety of different states – always in 5th or
3rd grade. We are officially retired from active duty and
have made Colorado Springs our home. I received my Masters of Fine Arts
in Teaching from Salem College (established in 1774) in Winton-Salem,
North Carolina in 1993 and have been teaching since then. I have two
children, a daughter Morgan who is a sophomore in college, and Thomas a
sophomore in high school. We are a swimming family, and spend a lot of
time on pool decks! I am also a registered leader with Boy Scouts and
our son is almost an Eagle Scout – one more merit badge and his project
to complete. We have been active in Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts for the
past 15 years and are always supportive of projects and volunteer
service to others! If we aren’t at a swim meet, Boy Scout event, or
church function, you will find my family camping, hiking, fishing or
enjoying what Colorado has to offer! Oh, and by the way, 5th
Grade Rocks!
