Bio:

Mr. Gathings was born in Chicago, Illinois but spent most of his developing years in Aberdeen, Mississippi.  His Bachelor’s degree in Music Education is from Mississippi State University.  His Master’s of Technology in Education is from Lesley University.  Mr. Gathings has taught orchestra and band for 29 years in Mississippi and Colorado.  Although trumpet is his major instrument, Mr. Gathings plays most of the instruments in the band. 

In addition to teaching in School District 11, Mr. Gathings teaches private lessons and works part time as a computer troubleshooter and collects antique radios.
