Vera Scott Elementary School

Vera Scott captured most of their $932.00 “Energy Dollars” in Tier Two. Vera Scott’s Administration and building staff are committed to energy conservation. Many other factors contributed to Vera Scott’s 28.65% reduction in utility costs as well. Their efforts are listed below:

1.      Entire staff participates in Friday afternoon energy shutdowns before each weekend.

2.      “Sunshine News” bulletin board communicates energy conservation reminders to teachers and staff.

3.      Administration worked with RCM team and Mechanical shop to reduced HVAC operating schedules.

4.      Administration worked with the RCM team to develop a Building Use and Operation Guide for Vera Scott.

5.      CITs make sure that computers are shutdown.

6.      During the Winter Break Holiday Shutdown Vera Scott scored at “Perfect 10” when the RCM team performed a site inspection.
