Food & Nutrition Services Effective: August 1, 2001ALL Schools: Meal charges are NOT allowed.Elementary Students who do not have enough money on their account for a meal will have their meal ID Card "pulled" at the cafeteria before they arrive for breakfast or lunch. Students whose meal ID is not in the "normal" place (e.g. card rack, classroom ticket pack, etc.) will know that there is an issue and he/she will go see the Kitchen Manager for assistance...
Zero-Balance Prevention: Food & Nutrition Services will call households using our "auto-call system" to let parents know that a student's balance is low. Parents can track this themselves online and sign up for email notifications for free by following the links to the Official Payments web site at http://www.d11.org/fns/payonline.htm. If behavior patterns develop with students who consistently do not have money for meals, the Kitchen Manager will discuss this problem with the principal, counselor, student, or parent to determine the best solution for the student. |
