·        Criteria

-         Recognition will be made for school or worksite teams to recognize “extra efforts” in providing GREAT service to our customers

-         The Employee Recognition Committee made up of FNS team members will determine each month’s winning “PICKLE” based on the act of service.

·        Recognition

-         The employee or team will be featured with their name or picture on the D-11 Food & Nutrition Services web site  (www.cssd11.k12.co.us/fns)

-         The information will be forwarded to the ESP President for inclusion in the ESP newsletter and in the FNS “Culinary Quips & Quotes”

-         The employee or team (each member) will receive:

-         a personalized certificate suitable for framing

-         a $10 gift card to Wal-Mart or Target

-         a “gold pickle lapel pin” to wear on their shirt or apron

-         The employee or team will be recognized at the Monthly Manager’s Meeting and/or during lunch in front of their students.

-         All selected employees or teams will be recognized at the Annual Awards Banquet.

·        Eligibility

-         All employees with 90+ days of cumulative service including substitutes.

·        Determination

-         By a committee made up of employees and management who meet bi-monthly for the purpose of Employee Recognition. The committee will be composed of the Director, Assistant Director, one office employee, and at least one & not more than two employees from each complex.

-         Employees may nominate other employees or may “self-nominate”, however the recognition is based on the “quality” of the “pickle”, not the “quantity” of nominations. J

-          Nomination forms will be included with each month’s department newsletter.  Additional copies of the form will be available in each kitchen. The specific details of the pickle provided and its impact on customer satisfaction must be described in the nomination.
