World History 1450 to Present: Quarter 2

Overview
Major religious and philosophical ideas have great influence on societies. What is the Enlightenment?  When does this period take place? Who are the philosophers, scientists and others who made contributions to life and culture?  Why did the French, American and Latin American revolutions occur? What effects did they have on the people and the places in which they occurred? In this unit, students learn how the history of the world has been affected by these powerful forces.
