Comparative Government & Politics AP, Quarter 2

Overview
Designed to help students understand the world's diverse political structures and practices, this course includes the study of general concepts used to interpret key political relationships and of political systems of specific countries. Comparisons will be made between the political institutions of the United States and political institutions in both democratic and non-democratic and western and non-western nations. Students will undergo a rigorous study of factual and interpretative material in preparation for the National Advanced Placement Examination given in May.
