Biology 2 Honors Semester Overview

Overview
Honors Biology is a science course for high school students with a strong interest in science. Instruction includes analysis, synthesis, and evaluation of information obtained from print and laboratory research. Students are expected to do independent research, plan investigations, practice self-evaluation, and give evidence of applying knowledge outside the classroom. This course is a comprehensive course designed to provide students with the key biological concepts to meet state and district standards.
Prerequisite: Recommended successful completion of Physical Science/Earth and Space Science. *Grade 9 enrollment limited to students with teacher recommendation and Advanced proficiency on the 8th grade science CSAP.
Course Length: 2   Period Length: 1    Grade Level:  9-12   Credit per Semester: 1
