Astronomy/Space Honors 2 Semester Overview

Overview
This course is a systematic study of objects in space beyond the earth including both the solar planetary system and the stellar or outer space objects. The students will understand and make use of the environment beyond earth. Instruction includes making models, using charts and graphs, using the planetarium, and data collection and analysis. The honors course deals with topics from Astronomy and Space Science 1, 2 in greater depth and complexity, requiring more out-of-class work, higher reasoning skills, and more independent study.
Prerequisite: Geometry 1, 2 or Technical Applied Math 3, 4
