Overview                                                                              

Originally used for hunting and warfare, eventually introduced as part of the 1972 Olympics for both men and women, archery is an activity choice for those of you as part of Colorado Springs District 11 Physical Education.  This course emphasizes the development of basic skills and general knowledge of target archery.  Along with developing skills you will learn to recognize shooting errors and make corrections in the point and aim method.  Safety factors, rules, care and responsibility for equipment, and range etiquette will be stressed during instruction and practice.
