Inclusion of Research-Based Strategies Rubric  
 
The following criteria will be used to score your responses:
15 points - Throughout the Instructional Unit, Research-Based Strategies are used at least five times. Use of the research-based strategy is appropriate for grade level and content area. Explanations of how the strategy is to be used is clear from the written description. Written descriptions are ready for public review with correct use of grammar and spelling. 
12 points - Throughout the Instructional Unit, Research-Based Strategies are used at least four times. However, one of the following needs revision:
- Appropriate use of the research-based strategy for grade level and content area
- Written explanation of how the strategy is to be used
- Grammar and spelling of written description 
9 points - Throughout the Instructional Unit, Research-Based Strategies are used at least three times. However, two of the following need revision:
- Appropriate use of the research-based strategy for grade level and content area.
- Written explanation of how the strategy is to be used
- Grammar and spelling of written description 
6 points - Throughout the Instructional Unit, Research-Based Strategies are used at least twice. However, all three of the following need revision:
Appropriate use of the research-based strategy for grade level and content area.
Written explanation of how the strategy is to be used
Grammar and spelling of written description
3 points - Throughout the Instructional Unit, Research-Based Strategies are used at only once. However, all of the following need revision:
Appropriate use of the research-based strategy for grade level and content area.
Written explanation of how the strategy is to be used
Grammar and Spelling of written description.
