AVID   Advancement Via Individual Determination

Welcome

"AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a program that was envisioned to increase access for underrepresented students with potential and desire to attend college. This is a pre-collegiate program that has been in District the past eight years. This program has been making a difference in student’s lives the past 25 years around the country and world. The program has been making a positive difference in the academic lives of thousands of students who have defied the odds of their circumstances: least served, first generation to attend university, and /or low socio-economic status by increasing their college going rates."
~ Peggy Vigil,   AVID Program Director vigilps@d11.org
