MEET AT DOHERTY HS AT 8:30 AM TO BREAK INTO TEAMS TO PICK UP STANDS

COFFEE AND JUICE IS PROVIDED IN MORNING, LUNCH IS PROVIDED AT 11:30 AM

CHAIRS TO BE DELIVERED BY WAREHOUSE IN AFTERNOON

 

SATURDAY MORNING, MARCH 10TH

CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST PROVIDED

MEET AT DOHERTY HS AT 7:30-8:00 AM FOR FLOOR SETUP

CHAIRS AND STANDS IN PLACE BY 8:45 AM

TV CREW SETTING UP THROUGHOUT MORNING

REHEARSALS BEGIN AT 9:00 AM

9-10:30 AM  BEGINNERS

Decisions made on the event are as follows:

Music selected: 

Beginners:   Allegro, Song of the Wind, French Folk Song, Song for Christine, Ode to Joy, Shortnin' Bread 

(Allegro, Song of the Wind, and Shortnin' Bread will be printed and sent to you.  The others are in the Essentials Elements Book 1.  French Folk Song is on page 28, Song for Christine is on page 12, Ode to Joy is on page 23. )

 

Second year:  Mixolydian Rock by Cameron Law; Dragonhunter by Richard Meyer; Fancy Fiddles by Mark Williams; Frog and the Tree by Ed Siennicki

 

The Middle School Honor Orchestra will be performing with our fifth graders (second year students) in a side-by-side concert setting.  They will perform one selection from their repetoire by themselves and then will play along with the group on the other tunes.  It will be important for us to know for seating and placement how many will definitely be there from your schools.
