Project Simulation
District 11 will
function as your customer. In this scenario, the district has issued a
Request for Concept or Request for Proposal. Businesses sometimes issue
Requests for Concept or Request for Proposals if they know the service
they would like performed but are open to ideas of how different vendors
could meet the need.
When a company is interested in building a new building, they may invite
several architect firms to respond to a Request for Concept/Proposal to
see which firm is able to provide examples of what a finished building
might look like according to the customer’s requirements. When a family
or company is looking for an interior designer, they will often invite
several designers to show their ideas about how they would approach the
job. This gives customers the opportunity to see which designer best
meets their requirements, and it protects the customer from paying a
designer for work that they may not like or not satisfy their needs.
In this case the business (District 11) is looking for interested
vendors (that would be you) to submit a response demonstrating what type
and quality of services can be provided. |
