Overview
This is a Level I high school instrumental music class. Students need little to no playing experience to enroll in this class. This class is designed to teach beginning instrumentalists on wind, brass, percussion, and string instruments. Also, advanced students desiring to learn second instruments may enroll. Students in this class will learn basic musicianship in preparation for participation in band or orchestra. Only standard band or orchestral instruments are offered. The pace of study will be rapid to benefit the dedicated student. A limited number of instruments may be available. Therefore, in most cases the student must provide his/her instrument as well as a method book.
