The two approaches for programming:

If you hold the program at your school and have the students make their checks out to you, you will have them registration fees deposited into SSA account and then your school will pay you on an extra work form at the rate of $23.41 an hour. If there is money left in the SSA account, you can use it for your band program next year. To reserve the space for your class, have someone in your building enter the times of your class into the district 11 web calendar so that others do not think that the room is available and book your room for some other event.

If you run the program as an entrepreneur and have the students make out the checks to you, you have to pay for the space and you can’t use the D11 PONY or e-mail for advertising. You keep all of the money but you are treated like an outside business. You must book your program with Rosie Gigax in Community Relations (520-2335) and she will work out the details for you in regards to renting the space that you need.
