New News!

The Coronado Math Club is up and running. Meetings are Wednesdays at 3:00 and go until about 4:00. Up until now, we have been preparing for a competition at CSU-Pueblo. At the competition, we had three students receive honorable mention in the individual competition (way to go Kali Allison, Kelsey Brown, and Peter Jaron!). In the team competition, we lost in the second round to eventual champion Liberty, but we gave them stiff competition (120-100). Have your child see Mr. Miller for more information if they are interested in joining.

Math League

For the first time in many years, Colorado Math League tests are optional, but we are still having great turn-out: we had 42 students attend the last competition. We are currently in a tie for 3rd place in our district and are looking for anyone who enjoys solving interesting math problems to join us and help us get back into first place! Future competition dates are: December 12th, January 9th, February 6th and March 12th. The competitions are held at 3:00 in room 19.
