CALENDAR COMMITTEE:
The 25 to 30 member D-11 Calendar Committee consists of teachers, principals, educational support personnel, parents, community members and administrators. The committee gathers input from various groups including, but not limited to, the District Accountability Advisory Committee (DAAC), parent sounding board, teacher sounding board and student sounding board. The committee’s mission is a district wide calendar that supports student achievement, safe environments, effective and efficient use of resources and community needs. SOUNDING BOARDS:

• Parents Sounding Board - Contact: Judy McIntire, 520-2005.

  • The superintendent meets with District 11 parents. All District 11 parents are welcome and are encouraged to share issues, general concerns, questions and good things happening in D-11 schools. In turn, the superintendent shares with parents the latest information about programs and projects in D-11.
    
    Concerns about individual students are not appropriate for the sounding board and are better addressed by the student's school or the Division of Instruction.
    
    This year, the sounding board will meet from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Tesla Educational Opportunity Center, 2560 International Circle, on April 12, 2007.
    
    Meetings for school year 2007-08 are scheduled from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Tesla on: Sept. 13, Oct. 11, Nov. 8, Jan. 10, Feb. 14, March 13 and April 10.
