Jennifer Michener
Second Grade Teacher

Ms. Michener has been with Columbia for the past 12 years as a primary teacher (mostly first grade). Ms. Michener will be teaching second grade for the 2006-07 school year.   Prior to coming to Colorado Springs she taught primary grades in Riverside, California.  She enjoys reading, taking walks, working with 9-Lives Cat Rescue, and scrap booking.  Her two children, a son in college and a high school daughter keep her busy.  She  completed  her Masters in Science degree at Colorado College and  graduated in May 2006.  Ms. Michener and her daughter, Ashley, are working toward a trip to Paris, France next summer with Ashley's class at Wasson High School.
