Chipeta Elementary School BAAC Meeting Minutes April 9, 2007
Meeting Called to order at 6:30 pm Rm 19
Attendance: Dave Bergacker, Lori Butler, Anne Wolf, Tim O’Brien, Julie Evans, Leah Landolfi, Troy Gedeck, Christine Benne
Minutes: the minutes from the March meeting were read and approved.
Principal’s Report: Quarterly Assessments: 2nd and 4th grade took Quarterly Assessments for the 2nd quarter. 4th grade scored high. CSAP’s are finished and the tests have been turned in Starting next year MAPS will be the new assessment tool, for reading math and possibly science. This assessment will replace Terra Nova and Quarterly’s will be used for short cycle assessments. MAPS is a computer based assessment. This could be used for kindergarten and 1st grade. Kindergarten: all day kindergarten has been approved. D-11 won’t know about assistants in the classroom under May 1st after the School Finance Act is reviewed. Chipeta is an Exemplemary Site for RtI for the state. SIP: Mrs. Butler and the SIP team will begin working on the SIP Amendment 23-One Percent Utilization : the BAAC read and reviewed the report. The report was approved by the BAAC. Security System: the new system will be installed this summer. Sub-Committee Reports: Budget: will be reporting next month DAAC: will report per email PTA: the last meeting was April 3, 2007, PTA Funding Report, last meeting -May 15th Attendance/Discipline: no report Nomination Committee: the nominations for the BAAC Committee Chair-Dave Bergacker Vice Chair- Leah Landolfi Secretary-Christine Benne The BAAC will vote on committee members at the next meeting. New Business: Kindergarten Night: Julie Evans will talk to the kindergarten parents about joining BAAC Chipeta will offer Summer School classes. Next meeting: May 14, 2007 @ 6:30pm RM 19 |
