PTA General
Meeting August
23, 2005 Call to Order: The general meeting
of the Chipeta PTA was held in the gym at Chipeta Elementary on Tuesday, August
23, 2005 and called to order at 6:33pm. President
Stacy Papenfuss presided and Candy Archdale recorded the minutes.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved. Treasurers Report: The treasurer, Lisa
Strauch reported line items for income and expense categories.
A motion to approve the 2005-2006 PTA budget was adopted. Principals Report: Student enrollment is at 410 students. Chipeta did extremely well on CSAP scores- detailed statistics will be posted to parents Open house is this
Thursday, Aug 25. Presidents Report: The playground
equipment purchased with last years PTA funds should be placed sometime in late
September or early October. Advertising space
is available for the Chipeta directory to cover printing costs.
Directories will be free to all Chipeta families. Mrs. Schulte has
information on Operation School
Bell, a program to provide clothing to students with special financial needs.

track of hours and will be asked to record them
online in future. There will be a new photographer this year and
yearbook vendor for printing New Business It was moved the PTA
petty cash fund available in the Chipeta office to students who forgot their
lunch money be increased by $15.00. The
motion was adopted. Upon the
recommendation of the school Principal, a motion for the PTA to pay for one half
of the cost of a Character Counts Assembly,
presented to all students in October,
in the amount of $250.00 was adopted. The next regular PTA
meeting will be Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 6:30 pm The meeting was
