2007-08 Middle School Boundaries

School Boundaries School District 11 is a choice district that has established school attendance areas (or boundaries) for each of its traditional schools, but allows a student to permit into a school other than the one assigned as long as the school being permitted to has the capability to accommodate the student. New Elementary School Boundaries for 2007-08. The current Capital Construction Program, which is funded by the 2005-06 voter-approved bond, includes the construction of two new D-11 elementary schools, Freedom Elementary School in the Wagon Trails neighborhood and Christa McAuliffe Elementary School at Cimarron Hills, as well as major renovations to several existing schools. These projects — especially the new schools that will open in the fall of 2007 — require boundary changes for the new schools and a number other existing schools. District 11 initiated a boundary study in February 2006 to address the boundaries of the new elementary schools and a number of adjacent schools. This study was completed and recommendations made to the Board of Education, and the board approved new boundaries effective for the 2007-08 school year as well as areas that will be provided with bus transportation. New Elementary School Boundaries for 2007-08 New MIddle School Boundaries for 2007-08 High school boundaries remain unchanged for 2007-08, but the district is considering a phase-2 boundary study to address these in the near future.
