FREE ACT Preparation

Click on the Links below:

www.act.org  This site offers a complete test, with immediate feedback on responses.
www.4tests.com This site provides practice tests for ACT as well as many other standardized tests such as SAT and AP.  The practice exams are free but one must register before he or she can take the test.
www.highwired.net Here is another site where the user will have to register. Once the user has registered look to the right hand side of the page to find a drop-down menu that says "Test Prep Search", select ACT. Once the test type has been selected and the go button pushed, at the bottom of the page the user will find an option to take a sample test or a sample course. Select either. This site is a little more involved than some of the others, but it puts the user through conditions that more closely resemble the ACT - it's timed.
www.gocollege.com  Go College provides a free online ACT test.  Set aside some time to take this one.  The test should take approximately 3 hours and the results are posted immediately following the test.  Print the results out once they are received because it will be the only chance you have to see them.  The test has six sections and is very user friendly.  Again, the user is required to register, but it appears as if Go College has developed a very nice product. Once you have opened up the site's URL find the "Test Yourself" icon and begin the process.
www.kaptest.com/college On this page find the ACT section and within that section select the option "Free Practice ACT".  As with other free on-line tests, the user must first register, but Kaplan is a recognized leader in helping students prepare for college.  Once the user initially registers, he or she must select the test type, i.e. ACT, SAT, GRE, etc.  This test is designed to be printed out and then the answers are to be submitted when the test is complete.  The paper and pencil format is used to simulate what one would experience at a testing center.  However, the practice test is 55 pages long, so be prepared to use up some paper in order to print it out.
www.number2.com/ This site offers the online test with immediate feedback, and it also offers many starting points.  Registration is easy and straight forward.  This site will tutor the user as he or she works through the test.
