Copying Images from the Web and using them in WORD Documents

2 Points

  1. Open up Internet Explorer.
  2. Click on Downloading and Saving Pictures from the Web.

  3. Go to the site Views of the Solar System

  4. Choose a subject of interest to you:

    The Sun

    A Planet

    A non-planetary object

    History

    Introduction to the Solar System

and Click on its image…

  1. Read the info on that subject and write a two-paragraph summary of it, or copy and paste a couple paragraphs.  This will serve as the intro to a "research paper."
  2. Move down the page and copy three images, inserting them into your WORD document.

    1. Click on the image,

    2. Right-click on the image at the top of the page that comes up,

    3. on the Shortcut Menu, click Copy,

    4. Go to your Word page and Paste.

  3. Write a caption for each, or copy and paste those on the web page.

  4. Use text wrapping so that your caption can be beside the image, like you see on the web page,

and like on this example (a Word Document).

 

NOTE: If you copy and paste, remove the hyperlinks that come along with it. You'll find "Remove Hyperlink" in the Shortcut Menu.
