Procedure for Future Budget Worksheet:

  1. Retrieve your Minimum Wage Budget worksheet, or open your Exercise 08 workbook .

  1. Replace the Yearly salary cell data with the salary that you got from your COIN occupation search.
  1. Refigure the formulas to reflect that your input is now starting with the yearly rather than the hourly value. (Change the formulas so that the monthly, weekly, daily and hourly amounts respond to the change in the yearly amount.)
  1. Fill out your new budget, based on the new values now being a percentage of a much larger number: your potential future salary…
  • NOW, you can afford a car, a nicer place to live, etc!

  1. Make sure the percentages for the FICA and withholding are appropriate for your new income level.

Or- if that page changes, as they often do, go to www.irs.gov and search the IRS site for the tax schedule or tax table for the current tax year.

  1. Save as FutureBudgetABC.
