1.       If you have data like you used in TechChart, can you make a pie chart with it that makes sense?  Why, or why not?

2.       How do you change the color of a Data series, or of the Walls?

3.       What can you do with AutoShapes?

4.       When you create a chart using the Wizard, what must you do before you open the Wizard dialog box?

5.       Name 5 kinds of charts you can create.

6.       Why would you want to bother with an extra little thing like 3-D effects, or colors, or textured backgrounds?



Exercise:

  1. You should have an Excel workbook open.

  2. Save as Excel_6-1your initials here.

    1. Save to your "U" drive as previously instructed.

  3. You may wish to refer to the VIOLET instruction sheet, if available for this assignment, found in the classroom file. 
     Follow any other instructions and refer to it for examples.

  4. Ask for help!

  1. Open Excel Charts.

  2. In a blank worksheet, create a cube like the one here.

  3. Do the exercise associated with Starting the Chart Wizard .

  4. Do it all the way through Adding Depth to Charts.

  5. Save as Excel_6-1initials
