The music students of Bates Elementary will strive to achieve the following goals for 2006-2007, while demonstrating good classroom behavior:

To recognize note names and values.

To recognize note pitches.

To improve in singing and playing musical instruments.

To understand and perform rhythmic values with rhythmic instruments.

To appreciate different music styles by singing, listening, dancing, and learning music history.
