The mission of Bates’ Special Education Team is to provide support and encouragement to students, staff and parents and to advocate for all students through positive communication, one-on-one, small group, and whole class instruction, collaboration/consultation.  This will be accomplished, by using a variety of teaching tools/research-based materials, and through a team approach.  We can best achieve our mission by first taking care of ourselves.
