Audubon Elementary
School Library
The mission of the Audubon library program is
-
To increase student achievement
-
To teach students to locate, select, read and
use information from a variety of resources
-
To develop an appreciation of literature in
students
-
To provide flexible access to the library for
every student during all school hours

Flexible
library access means that students may visit the
library to exchange books as soon as they are
finished with them. They don’t have to wait until a
“scheduled class” library time. (The exception is
Kindergarten. Please see me or your child’s teacher
for more information.)
Students in
grades 1-5 may check out up to 3 books at a time of
their choice.
Students in grades K-2 may keep their books for 1
week. Those in grades 3-5 may keep their books for 2
weeks.
Books may
be renewed if a child is not finished with them.
Parents/guardians may check out up to 5 additional
books for the family.
There is a
fee for lost books. If a book is damaged, please let
us know so we can repair it with our special book
repair supplies.
Call us
anytime with concerns or questions. We love to be of
help when it comes to getting kids connected to
books! Our numbers are 328-2624 or 328-2623.

VOLUNTEER!
We still need volunteers for the library. You can volunteer to
shelve books, check books in and out, or help with the book
fair. We could use
volunteers on a daily basis, or for just a one time thing, if
that’s what you’d rather do. Anything helps!
Just give
us a call and let us know how you want to be involved.
328-2624.
