Library Technology Educator - Ms. Ellis

The Media Center is staffed by Ms. Ellis, Library Technology Educator, and a Library  Technology Technician.  In our Media Center, over 2400 fiction titles, and with multiple copies, that would be over 7300 books available for student check out.  Our non-fiction section includes over 2500 titles.  In addition there are several reference sets including atlases, encyclopedias, thesauruses, and special interest sets.

The Media Center includes a full computer lab of 30 Dell PC's. All are networked and provide access to the CSSD11 Intranet as well as to the Internet. There are many educational programs available on the CSSD11 network as well as CDs for in lab and classroom use.

John Adams has implemented modified FLEX scheduling so that teachers and students can use the library and lab as needed, but also have daily classes in information literacy with Ms. Ellis.  Students can  use the library and lab independently when they bring their passes to the center.   The media center is open  before and after school for book check-out for students, teachers, and the community.
