• Implemented telecommunication system that includes voice, video, and data over the same delivery system using a combination of telephone lines, broad band cable, and microwave
• Implemented fiber optic network connecting every school location (GAATN)
• Developed ethics policy for District and community involvement

• Developed plan for telephone on each teacher’s desk for technology schools

• Selected and implemented a new telephony system to include a telephone in every classroom

• Implemented telephone version of Parent Connect, the system for parents to access current information on their student’s attendance, grades, health information, and demographic data
• Implemented fiber optic local area networks (LAN) in all schools and district facilities to meet current and future growth
• Implemented wide area network (WAN) using T1 lines from Qwest connecting all school and district facilities
• Secured funding in 2004 Bond for a fiber optic WAN to meet current and future needs. Now awaiting voter permission to spend the approved funding

Colorado
• Major contributor to the development and successful voter passage of Adelphia Cable/City of Colorado 15 year cable franchise which provides 5 channels, including District 11’s Channel 16 for the support of education and regular grant monies to the Southern Colorado Educational Television Consortium
• Established Channel 16 as a 7/24 cable channel devoted to District 11
• Acquired and implemented a mobile production studio/truck to allow out of studio television productions
• Instituted regular live broadcasts of Board of Education meetings, key committee meetings, student productions and performances, athletic events and other related events
• Created Centralized Records Management Center for student records, district records archives, and BOE policy development.
• Directs the development and writing of BOE policy
